To and Fro We Go
by Ori C. Li
crunch crunch // crows go A:A:A:A: // I scream back :a:a:a:
okay that actually hurts //
// we are walking on old time // through present waters // “as modern as tomorrow” // tomorrow creeps in this petty pace in every moment doesn’t it //
// I’m a really slow walker unless it’s cold // holy shit there are two buses // stand in the bushes in the bushes // fuck there are so many thorns // oh no it’s coming // they’re way too close //
// SHIT
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
okay it’s over //
// with my everyday shoes I can feel the rocks beneath the soles // our souls looking small on this long road // through the tall grass // as flashy as highlighters //
this is our aesthetic now
we could all be constructions workers for
halloween //
// to and fro we go // from a to b // am to pm //
// I could get used to the sting of the wind on my face
this ain’t so scary I guess //
